Over the weekend i have been keeping myself busy with various things.  I love working with chipboard......

 BoBunny Papers were used throughout the album, with ribbons,gems leaves and quotes.

Chipboard was used for the hanger.The edges were painted with pink before paper was glued to the front and back.    

Ribbon was tied round the hanger, flowers and rhinestone flourishes were added. 

The same stamp was used that was used for the card, but the girl was cut out and added onto the paper.

The back of the hanger was covered in paper.

I have started to collect "simply gorjuss" stamps so yesterday I decided to make this card and door hanger for my daughters friend.  This card was made using "the girls paperie papers", i distressed the edges with scissors then using my sewing machine to stitch stitches all round the paper.  I have seen many cards with this effect of sewing round the edges and was pleased with the outcome.

   The stamp was stamped onto brown card then using inks and watercolor pencils i had a go at coloring the girl in.   Not quite the effect i wanted but im new to this painting. just looking forward to my new pencils arriving and then getting lessons on painting and shading in.

Happy Birthday was stamped onto paper and Lace was added onto the bottom

Flowers & gems were added.

My February page.... which i enjoyed doing with it being the month of Love, so the theme was hearts......


I painted the full page with guesso paint,and used Acrylic red & white paint and mixed them together.  I dry brushed the paint onto the paper with different brush strokes.

The hearts was punched out and used distress ink on the edges, and dry brushed distress ink onto the hearts.  Small hearts were cut out and stickles applied round the edges. A stamp was added to the corner of the page.

Using the postage stamp die cut 4 squares were cut and distress ink applied to the edges.  A Love stamp was stamped on to the card, and hearts were cut out from Papers i had.

Using the die-cut machine 2 Flourishes were cut out and distress ink applied to the edges. The wording was stamped out and put onto card.

Art Journal Challenge

January

Here is my page for January (Kate Cranes Art Calendar Challenge).  My first ever Art Challenge which with lots of help from my art friends at "Running with Scissors" i have decided to give it a go. Hopefully i can keep up.  For the next 12 months we decorate a page, and keep a journal.

      I used distressed inks for the background

 I stamped the girl and painted her with distress inks. 

 The circles were Punched out, and the heading was stamped and inked, and some gems were added.   

The wording was computer generated.
